The Last Supper in Zagreb
After being on display in Buenos Aires, Argentina and visited by 2 million people,
COK is pleased to organize the opening of a unique work of art The Last Supper in Zagreb. This hyper-realistic creation of Christ and the 12 apostles in natural
dimensions is the work of the renowned Croatian artist Zvonimir Mihanovic. The event is scheduled for April 1, 2010 (Holy Thursday), at 4:00 pm, on the main
square Ban Josip Jelacic in the heart of Zagreb.

The Fall of Communism in Europe: 1989-2009 – 20 Years Later
COK hosted an international conference on December 4,
2009 in Zagreb to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of Communism in
Europe. The event featured Lech Walesa, former president of Poland and Nobel
laureate. Croatian minister of culture Bozo Biskupic spoke on behalf of the
government. The event was attended by 20 ambassadors accredited to Croatia.

Dr. Ivica Tomic, Croatian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, presented in
London on Thursday 9 July 2009 the Order of the Croatian Morning Star with
the image of Marko Marulic to Dr. Robin Harris. The honour was awarded by
President Mesic for Dr Harris's special contribution to the development of
cultural links between Great Britain and Croatia.
