A New Perspective for the Croatian Economy and Prospects for Europe

n behalf of the Croatian Center for the Renewal of Culture, I would like to extend to you a formal invitation to attend the upcoming International Forum titled „A New Perspective for the Croatian Economy and Prospects for Europe“, scheduled for Tuesday, May 24th at the School of Economics, Trg J.F. Kennedy 6 in Zagreb. This conference will take place as part of the „Free-Market Roadshow“ which also includes events in Vienna, Bratislava, Kiev and other Europen capitals. The Roadshow is being organized in cooperation with the Austrian Center for Economics and Liberty Fund  with the generous support of Hypo-Alpe-Adria Bank and will feature many high-level guests from around the world (full conference program enclosed).

This year's forum will include 3 panels and will feature speakers from the United States and Europe, including dr. Robin Harris (former advisor to Lady Margaret Thatcher, London) and dr. Barbara Kolm (Hayek Institute, Vienna). We are also pleased to announce the publication of the Croatian edition of the Dictionary of Economic Terms which will be presented following the conclusion of our conference.

This important event aims to explain the causes of the global financial crisis and to offer practical policy options to Croatia’s political and business leaders. The main focus will be on Croatia’s macro-economic situation as well as the current fiscal policy implemented by the government. Experts will discuss the future of the finance industry as well as the issue of State intervention in the economy. The final panel will be devoted to fundamental questions regarding the future of the Euro and implications for Croatia.
